Set up SeniorEase with your parent in 30 minutes

Download the app, sit together, scan 10 books or records — done. No account. Works offline at markets and fairs.

Get it on Google Play

Free to try · 10 items · unlimited €4.99 one-time in the app

Before you start (~5 min)

  1. Install SeniorEase Library from Google Play on your parent's Android phone
  2. Open the app — no sign-up, no email
  3. Sit at the kitchen table with a small stack of books or a few records
  4. Good light helps the camera scan barcodes

Together: scan 10 items (~20 min)

For each book or record:

  1. Tap + to add
  2. Choose Scan barcode
  3. Point at the ISBN (books) or sleeve barcode (vinyl)
  4. Confirm the title — save
  5. Put it back on the shelf
Tip: Start with items they buy most often — favourite authors or genres.

Try it before buying (~5 min)

Pick something they might buy at a shop or market. Scan the barcode before paying.

Already in the list? Put it back. Not there? Safe to buy.

Habit: Scan first. Buy second. Works offline — no internet needed.

Why I built this

I kept buying the same vinyl twice. At second-hand book markets too — get home and realise: duplicate. I built SeniorEase because most collection apps want an account, a subscription, and a manual. This one doesn't.

If you can visit your parent, you don't need to pay anyone — just follow the steps above. That's how I'd do it.

Live far away or no time?

Optional Family Setup (€19) — personal walkthrough video + checklist by email, plus one follow-up question. For when you can't sit together this weekend.
